The Series 4 Villains Poll

We had a shaky start with this one, what with the poll playing up again, but we got there in the end and after 24 hours of voting, the results for the best villain of series 5 are in.

Max Capricorn received 0% of the votes
Klineman Halpen received 1% of the votes
The Vespiform received 1% of the votes
The Pyrovile received 2% of the votes
Matron Cofelia received 4% of the votes
The Daleks received 9% of the votes
Davros received 11% of the votes
The Sontarans received 13% of the votes
The Midnight Monster received 26% of the votes

But winning this poll with 33% of all of the votes cast is The Vashta Nerada.


Making their only appearance so far in 2008's Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead, the Vashta Nerada are swarming, carnivorous beings who can barely be seen with the human eye, but in their shadow-y swarm are deadly. When their forests were cut down, they were unknowngly transported to The Library where they slowly started taking over. The name means 'the Shadows that melt the flesh'.
