The source has claimed that the production team are eager to bring James back in a multi story arc for scenes set to be filmed in the US as part of the series' new co production with Starz.
James has previously stated that he would like to return to the role and that RTD 'only has to ask'.
Of course, we need to point out that at the moment this is just speculation, but should the rumours turn out to be true, we should imagine there will be some very happy fans out there.
Would you like to see Capt. John make a return?
Would be interesting to see him come back for 2 reasons.

2 - some rumours say it's his vortex manipulator & hand in the box. Will he be one handed?
The character is brilliant, and I think there is loads of character development left in him. If he returns it would be insanely brilliant
