Sarah Jane Adventures Going Darker

Phil Ford, head writer on The Sarah Jane Adventures has spoken out about the upcoming fourth and fifth series, which are currently being filmed back to back in Cardiff, to say that the show, with the fifth series in particular, will be much darker than we have previously seen.


He hinted that the show will be dealing with some serious themes and will 'break people's hearts', when it returns later in the year, as well as revealing that the series will have ties to a recent Doctor Who story. It has previously been reported that Silurians may be appearing, but whether it is these that he is referencing, or something else entirely is not yet known.

The Sarah Jane Adventures will return for series 4 this Autumn.
