Is Jenny Returning?

Various sources around the web are reporting that Episode 7 of series 6 will see the return of Jenny, the Doctor's daughter. If the rumours are correct though, we will be seeing her in her second incarnation.

As far as I am aware the main source for the rumour stems from IMDB, which is probably one of the most unreliable on the web, but the actress in question, Catrin Stewart, is listed there as a character called 'Jenny' and now rumours are rife that it will be the same character originated by Georgia Moffat.

The other explanation of course is that she will be starring and will be playing a character called Jenny, but one that is totally different.

Huge handfuls of salt are needed with this one, but just in case....

  1. The original source for this is not IMDB, it's via Spotlight courtesy of Doctor Who Spoilers.

  2. Thank you for the original source. The two places where I saw it mentioned only sourced IMDB, and they didnt have links.

As you can see from other posts, I have sourced you in the past, so this was not intentional. I didn't see this on your site. Though I will say that by clicking on the link you provided, I still could not see it on your site. Perhaps you linked to the wrong page. I'm happy to leave the link in place for you all the same though

  3. It is unlikely, if she returns, that she'll be in a second incarnation, in my opinion, coz remember that she had to regenerate before but didn't change? Just a thought

  4. If Jenny returns her looks will not change. She is also already in her second incarnation as we saw her regenerate at the end of the episode and her looks did not change then.

  6. All of you who think she regenerated are thinking like rubbish.

    1. Jenny's never looked into the Untempered Schism.
A theory suggested by the series itself, claims that it is the Schism itself that grants the Time Lords their ability to regenerate.

    2. She breathed in a puff of green gas before she came back to life, she didn't explode into energy as the current series depicts regeneration.
There's a high probability that that was a portion of the terra-forming technology thingie. It probably healed her, like how you can bring a person back to life with a shock to the heart to restart it

Now, some of you might think that wouldn't work, but think for a moment; what do YOU know about terra-forming tech interacting with a Time Lady's body?
I'll tell you what you know - Diddly squat. :P

  7. The doctor at first believed she would be able to regenerate. So I don't think it has to do anything with the apprenticeship of a timelord. Either way it's a loose end why the Tardis ended up there in first place and where Jenny was heading.

  8. I am not sure it will be the same Jenny :/ For once when the terra former healed Jenny (It brought life and she breathed some of it and It brought her back to life) She stayed the same. I don't think she will ever come back :/ but if she does... THAT WOULD BE MIND BLOWINGLY EPIC!!!! xD

    1. I hope she comes back. But I don't know if it'll work, I mean if its a different Jenny, a different Doctor... I think it could either ruin the ep completely or make it awesome! (hoping its the second one if she does return.)

  9. River Song didn't look into the schism either but was able to regenerate because she was allegedly evolved like a time-lord through contact with the tardis. Besides Jenny may have been in the first fifteen hours of her first regenerative cycle. Kinda like the hand at the beginning of the episode that started the whole thing. Or at least that's how a good writer would tie it together.

  10. From my research so far, it is unlikely that Jenny will be returning. I know for a fact that the actress in question is playing a different Jenny. Sorry. (Jack may be returning though, so let's get excited about that!)

  11. I think Jenny will come back for the 50th. If you go on YouTube There is a clip with the 11th and 10th doctors talking about the 50th. Then they start to talk about 2 characters they cant say who they are. Maby 1 of them is Jenny?

I also have an idea about her regeneration. I think when she 1st regenerates she will be the same cuz she is part human. What is the timelord part of her has token over the human part of her, so after the 2nd regeneration she will be different. Or it might be a timelord thing that in there very 1st rengenaration they stay the same.
