The Return Of Ten??

In amongst the many scenes in the new trailer is this shot of Amy and Rory watching Ten regenerate in the old TARDIS. Twitter has been buzzing with the people wondering if it really was the old TARDIS console, and it definately was. It's blink and you'll miss it, but I managed to capture the frame (just).

There has been speculation today on the forum that there will be two regenerations fetured in series 6, so could the repeat of Ten's be one of them?

  1. If it is, I think you'll agree there will be lots of happy Tennant fangirls (and boys of course!) :3

  2. I took the video and did a frame by frame.

It looks like 11 in the swirling ball of energy, but the two look on the right look like Amy and Rory...

And it definitely is the previous TARDIS. So i guess we'll see.

Just our luck this'll happen in the October Series.

  3. Where on the forum have they been discussing this?

  4. I reckon that the doctor crosses his own time line at some stage, and rory and amy accidentally wonder into the TARDIS just before 10's regeneration...
Alternatively, we know that the Doctor can link with people telepathically, so perhaps he's showing them what happens when he dies?

  5. 10 regenerating? I don't believe so. It's definitely the old console room, but I suspect whatever Amy and Rory are watching is something else... probably something even more interesting. :)

This appears to be a sphere of energy, not a fountain. Plus, there doesn;t appear to be anyone inside of it (which you can see a little more clearly here), except something that appears to be a reversed-mirror-image of Rory's movements.

  6. this occurs around 0.37 on the new trailer, an earlier brief clip in this same trailer shows the same Rory and Amy in the 9/10 doc tardis but with female-ish fingers firing electrical energy toward them. i don't think they are witnessing a regen, but perhaps just witnessing a friend /foe firing energy around in the old tardis.
I wish it would have Ten back though, maybe clone Ten as he grew out of the hand that made Jenny....Cat. themedusacascade@talktalk.net

  7. Actually, the hand was shooting lightning while Amy and Rory were in another time engine, like the one in "The Lodger". River was there too (although earlier in the trailer), doing some kind of spin and shooting a gun. She also has a Vortex Manipulator on her arm...hmm...

  13. theres a rumour that its the other doctor, the one who grew out of his hand. that makes sense now :) apparently they were going to put in a scene with that doctor where tennants doctor taught him to grow a tardis :)

  14. Doesn't it remind you of the heart of the Tardis?

  15. I read a rumour that in one episode the Doctor's Tardis is going to be cloned. Maybe this is the cloned Tardis we're seeing?

  16. How about this...

River Song (something) does kill the Doctor and before he turns into 12, Amy and Rory travel back to just before 10 changes into 11 and some how, uses the regeneration energy to save 11 (Which will also stop him changing into the 12th ).

Dont forget in the 1st trailer (at the end of x-mas 2010 ep) the doctor said to Amy 'My life in your hands, Amelia Pond'.

  17. If this is a regeneration, its not any we've seen before, so it cant be 9-10, The Master or 10-11 because the effects were different. This is a swirly ball of energy, yes its orangey, so if it is a regeneration, its most likely something new, that fits in Pre-"Rose".

  18. I think it might be Doctor 8 (McGann) regenerating into Doctor 9 (Eccleston). That is the only regeneration which has never been witnessed in the shows long history. Maybe this is Amy and Rory witnessing this just after (or during) the Time War. Also, Doctor 8 (McGann) has been spotted in a new Doctor outfit and sonic screwdriver, but he only does audio plays? He has also said he would love to return one day, as he is only portrayed in video via the 1996 TV-Movie.

  20. Or it could be something to do with the Valleyard?!

  21. idiots.......its a swirling ball of light from the rudimentary tardis created by the doctor and Idris (tardis in human form) travelling to Rory and Amy while they are traveling through the tardis hallways and end up in the 9/10 control room. no valeyard. no little time lord girl. NO REGENERATION!

  25. It's from episode "The Doctor's wife" and that is human TARDIS and 11 coming through TARDIS shield with another Tardis built out of dead Tardis's at the planet outside the universe.
