In an interview this week with Whats On TV, Karen Gillan has added more fuel to the fire of speculation that she and Arthur Darvill will be heading out of the TARDIS once Series 6 comes to an end.
When asked what she has planned for the future, Karen replied:
"I am playing Jean Shrimpton in a BBC4 drama We’ll Take Manhattan but I have just literally gone from Doctor Who to that so I haven’t had a chance to sit and have a think. I actually would really like to go home to Scotland for a little while and reflect on what has happened and then decide what my next move is, but I don’t know what that is yet. This follows a comment made by Arthur in an interview with the London Evening Standard last week where he commented:
"Getting a part like Rory was great, but now, coming out of it, I need to go and do something completely different."Of course this is all heavy speculation and nothing is confirmed yet, but it is certainly seeming as though we will be getting some new TARDIS inhabitants soon.
New companion was seen in episode 7. If you notice, the new Who takes its story lines from the books created after the initial cancellation of 89, examples are the family of blood, Idris to name a few...
ReplyDeleteThe only story in New Who so far that's been adapted from a book is Human Nature. Others may follow similar plotlines but that doesn't mean its following the books. Idris was an original character. And even still, it doesn't mean that the new companion has already been seen. It could have, but not definately
ReplyDeletevastra and jenny!
ReplyDeleteIt'd be cool if the Lesbian Lizard (Lezard? Lizbian?) and Jenny were the next companions... I was hoping Lorna would be but sadly, she died :(
