Overnight figures for the mid series finale of Doctor Who, A Good Man Goes To War, show that an average of 5.5million people tuned in to see River's identity revealed. This is up by half a million on the previous episode and a lot higher than many expected due to the glorious weather and competition from the Champions League and the final of Britains Got Talent. It also scored an 88 on the AI scale, rating it joint first for the series so far.

Official figures for The Almost people have also come in at 6.78m viewers, which has seen an increase of 1.78m on timeshift in the week following the airing of the episode.
