It has been announced today by Dan Hall of 2Entertain that the First Doctor story The Reign Of Terror is to be released with it's two missing episodes recreated using animation.
This technique was previously used on the Second Doctor story The Invasion in 2006 but no further releases were planned as it was deemed too expensive a procedure, but this is very welcome news indeed and opens the door to further animated recons in the future.
It is as yet unknown who will be doing the animation but a release is expected in 2012.
