On July 2nd 2010 this little news page was born and today we are turning one year old.
When we started we didn't expect that many people would get to see what we were putting out there and we just wanted to provide somewhere for fans to get all the latest news and gossip from the Whoniverse without all the arguing and vitriol that usually accompanies fandom. But thanks to Twitter and several thousand tweets the word spread and we became very popular, very quickly, which led to us opening the forum and the facebook page to let the fans of the show have even more of a say in an environment where every opinion is valid and welcomed.
Now, 12 months on we have brought to you over 700 news items, reviews, spoilers and polls which has seen this news page take over 2 million hits by over 400,000 unique visitors, the Twitter page has grown to 1000 followers with nearly 500 more on Facebook and 300 signed up as members of the forum.
We really couldnt have done this without you all regularly coming back each day for your Who fix so we offer a huge thank you to all of you for keeping this alive and growing every day, and a big thank you to Matt who helped to start all of this, Emma who recently joined the news team and all of the moderators, past and present, who have helped to keep the forum alive and in check. Thank you all.
