More than any other poll we have done, this one seemed to get people in a tizz. Too many great episodes to choose from was peoples main concern, but after 24 hours to choose, the votes are finally all in.
The Sontaran Stratagem/The Poison Sky got 0% of the votes
Planet of the Ood got 1% of the votes
Voyage of the Damned got 2% of the votes
The Fires of Pompeii got 3% of the votes
The Unicorn and the Wasp got 5% of the votes
The Doctor's Daughter got 6% of the votes
Partners in Crime got 7% of the votes
Turn Left got 12% of the votes
The Stolen Earth/Journey's End got 15% of the votes
Midnight got 19% of the votes
but the winner of this poll, taking 30% of the final votes is the Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead two parter.
After the Doctor and Donna arrive in the 51st century at a planet-sized book repository simply called "The Library", summoned by an anonymous request for help on the Doctor's psychic paper, it becomes a race against time to get the 'saved' to safety before the shadows take over. This story was written by Steven Moffat and marked the first appearance of River Song. It was shown in two parts on 31st May and 7th June 2008.
A very worthy win! =) Well Done Moff (again) =D
ReplyDeleteGlad Midnight came 2nd though...
Honestly?
ReplyDeleteWow.
I didn't expect this to win.
Probably the weakest of Moffat's episodes, although there were some nice touches.
(influenced by the return of River Song in the new series, perhaps?)
Sadly I missed the chance to vote (if anyone's interested, I'd pick the finale as well!)
I loved this 2 episodes, and Midnight and Turn left, 4 season is the best, very hard to choose
ReplyDeleteWho on *earth* voted for 'The Doctor's Daughter'? :O
