Tribute Podcast To Elisabeth Sladen

After the sudden and sad death of Elisabeth Sladen last week, some of us from The Doctor In The TARDIS Podcast team got together to record a special short dedication to the actress.

Apologies to all those who sent in messages if they weren't included. We had over 100 responses so not all of them could be read out. Those who recorded messages, unfortunately we were not able to include them due to a fault with uploading the audio, however we did listen to them all and then write them out in order to be read by the team.

The Doctor In The TARDIS Podcast #3

Episode 3 of the Doctor In The TARDIS Podcast is here. We have a jam packed edition this time around (without spoilers) and it is our longest podcast yet. In fact, we had so much content that the Members Questions had to be moved to the next edition and loads of it had to be trimmed down so you weren't sat listening for days on end.

Coming up this time...

• The input of fandom on the show
• Snacking for Doctor Who
• The impacts of being too spoiled
• A closer look at Doctor Who Insider (coupled with a moan about Doctor Who Magazine)
• Murray Gold and the music of series 6
• A Debate about canon, and
• How to avoid ending up in an ambulance during the first airing of an episode

Plus a whole heap more. So, without any more waffle from me, check it out by streaming....

Or by downloading it HERE

The Doctor In The TARDIS Podcast #2

We made it to our second podcast! And after a week on the interweb we are bringing it to you again in case you missed it the first time around.

We had such a great response to the first and it has already been listened to so many times, so we all just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has listened or downloaded. Please keep coming back because we have such fun recording them.

This podcast though, very nearly didnt see the light of day. So many things went wrong, probably worst of all being the recording equipment deciding to stop working on the day of discussion. Like the troopers that we are though we pressed ahead, and despite having to hit the record button on the temporary equipment every 5 minutes we managed to come away with a podcast even longer than the last one.

Now, due to the hiccups we encountered some of the audio is a bit crackley in parts (most notably when I speak due to my dreadful mic) and some background noise managed to filter through but its easy to ignore and doesnt crop up much and we didnt want to leave you without a new cast this week so we had to press on regardless. Worry not though, new microphones and a new recording system is already in place and the next one will be pitch perfect.

Disclaimer out of the way, the latest session covers many topics and discussions, including:

• A closer look fandom
• Questions from the listeners
• The Prequels & Trailers
• River Song and attitudes towards her
• The writing team of Series 6

And plenty more. I think even some spoilers managed to filter through.

So, without further ado, Here is The Doctor In The TARDIS Podcast #2

The Doctor In The TARDIS Podcast #1

Hello all!

Ok, so our very first podcast has been recorded and uploaded for you to listen to. We had hoped to have it out to you much earlier today, but editing and hosting took a lot longer than anticipated. We were also going to be bringing it to you via YouTube, but we all ended up talking so much that the file wouldnt fit!

It was our first go and we are learning as we go along so it isnt a perfectly polished piece (so please be easy on us), but please stick with us and keep coming back and listening as we feel our way along because we will be bringing you so much more (with some extra confidence and minus some of the nerves) in later podcasts.

A big, big thank you to Chris, Christine and Mandy for contributing their time and opinions, and we all really hope you enjoy. Now go grab yourself a drink, open up a game of Solitaire and listen to us talk about Doctor Who.

The Podcast Is Coming And We Need Your Help

The Doctor In The TARDIS is very excited to tell you that from this Sunday we will be launching our very own transatlantic Doctor Who podcast.

The Podcast will launch as part of our campaign to keep growing and bringing news from the Whoniverse to even more people around the world in various formats.

The Podcast panel is made up of moderators on the forum from both the UK and United States who will get together online to record each broadcast in an effort to bring a balanced and well rounded view on all the latest news, gossip, spoilers and headlines from Doctor Who, Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures.

Our first podcast will focus on the 'Time' & 'Space' Comic Relief mini episodes as well as bringing in discussions and debates on a multitude of other subjects. The core team will alternate between podcasts in order to keep the dynamic fresh and appealing and also to provide different viewpoints for the topics under discussion.

As the series goes on we will be introducing other regular features such as bringing in guests to talk about specific subjects and topics of interest, as well as Q&A sessions where you the fans get to put your questions to the team for us to answer.

We really want you to get involved and help make the podcast a huge success, so what we want you to do is record yourselves asking the panel a question, it can be relating to any aspect of DW, and forward it to us for inclusion in the show. Doing this is easy, quick and totally free. To get your question recorded, you can either do it on your computer at home, or you can visit AUDIOBOO and do it there. Once you have recorded your question and are totally happy with it, send it to us via Twitter or on here and the best ones will be used for inclusion in the podcasts. It really is that simple.

We hope that you get involved, and we really hope that you tune in to each podcast and give us your thoughts and ideas. Each podcast will be posted via YouTube to this page and also to the forum and facebook page, so there will be plenty of ways to stay tuned.
