Series 6 Episode Details Revealed
A Christmas Carol
Amy and Rory are on their honeymoon during the episode, and run into trouble when the pleasure cruise spaceship they’re travelling on finds itself under attack from “something very nasty”. The spaceship is orbiting an alien planet, which is where the Doctor is for a considerate part of the story. This therefore causes Amy and Rory to be separated from the Time Lord for the majority of the episode.
Neil Gaimans Episode
In this episode, the TARDIS breaks down on an alien junkyard world, which is where the Doctor encounters Idris played by Suranne Jones.
"By the time the Doctor and friends meet her, she’s gone mad and ends up biting the Time Lord. . . but not on the bum".
"It’s rumoured Idris and the Doctor have met before, so who could she be? A new incarnation of the Rani, perhaps? Maybe the Master? Or a future version of the Doctor him. . . er, herself?"
Wii Game Slated
The brand new Doctor Who game which was today released on the Wii console has been panned by critics. The Official Nintendo Magazine had this to say:
If you're a child, and you're reading this, you deserve better. I'm sorry people my age have slapped you in the face like this. But use the lesson well. Remember the hatred games like this rightfully deserve, and vow that you'll never produce such an execrable turd in your own adult life. Promise me that, and this won't have all been in vain. Playing Return To Earth is a profoundly miserable experience. The story's abysmal, an incoherent, contrived excuse to throw the big villains in. The script is also bad - odd lines of excruciatingly awkward dialogue sandwiched between tech-babble whose only purpose is to explain the irrelevant, repetitive gameplay.

Matt Smith On The Late Late Show
Despite the annoying guy who is hosting the show, Matt Smiths appearance on The Late Late Show was a good one, and in case you weren't in America to see it, here it is. As far as i know, it is also the first appearance of an incumbent Doctor on an American prime time chat show.

All About America
Over on the forum this evening, Peri-Peri posted an interesting excerpt from an interview with Peirs Wenger where he revealed that Series 6 is 'all about America'.
The topic is one that is highly debated amongst fandom and this will no doubt add fuel tot he fire. What are your opinions?
Well, I can say with great anticipation and excitement the new season starts off in two parts which is set in America. The team left the UK on Saturday and is traveling out to Utah, to Mojave, where they’re filming some scenes. There are scenes set in New York and San Francisco. It is Doctor Who’s love letter to the States. Last year started with the TARDIS crash-landing on Big Ben in London and that was an opportunity for British audiences to be reminded of Doctor Who’s British heritage. But this year, it’s all about America, it’s all about taking the show out to the States and seeing what Doctor Who will feel like set in America and in some very iconographic parts of the American landscape.

Skaro Revisited?
Moffat has made some obscure references in this months DWM magazine, which some people (secretly myself included) are thinking/hoping may mean that we will be seeing a return visit to Skaro.
When referring to the Doctor he mentions how he 'remembers being on Skaro with Leela' and how the production team were trying to figure out who has met the Daleks and Davros.
Whether this is idle chit chat on set that the Moff has decided to use to drive us crazy with speculation or hints at something to come is anyones guess, but for the moment lets treat it as a bit of fun yet wild speculation.

This months DWM is awash with info about series 6 and news that will no doubt excite a lot of fans is the news from Steven Moffat that Matthew Graham, co creater of Life On Mars will be writing for the series.
Little is known about his story, however it was revealed that it will be a two parter and will cover episodes five and six.
It has also been anounced that Moffat will be penning episodes seven and eight which will air on surrounding sides of the mid season hiatus, so you can be sure to expect the usual Moffat type cliffhanger to have a hold of you throughout the summer.

SJA Breaking Records
When Death of the Doctor aired on the CBBC channel a few weeks back it surpassed all expectations and gave the channel its highest ever ratings. But not content to rest on its laurels, the following story, The Empty Planet went one better and knocked Death Of The Doctor down into second place and stole the top spot away.
With 0.99 million viewers, The Empty Planet part 1 is the highest rated episode of a TV show that the channel has ever aired. SJA now holds the top three spots. Not bad for a show in it's fourth series.
