One of our forum members has today posted some spoilery speculation which could mean that we will be seeing River as a child in the upcoming series. The poster, Peri-Peri, claims that speculation is mounting on other forums that the person in this picture is River Song when she first meets the Doctor.
The little girl has apparantly been seen on set a lot and its speculated that she has quite a sizeable role. As Peri-Peri points out though, it could actually be anyone! What do you think? Let us know your thoughts

Ace To Finally Leave The Doctor?
Sophie Aldred, who has appeared in over 20 audios as Ace, as well as appearing as the last companion of the classic series has apparantly quit the role and will make her last appearance in the April 2011 release, Thin Ice.
The story, which features the Ice Warriors, is an adaptation of an episode called Ice Time which was written for the unmade 27th series which would have originally seen Ace leave the Doctor to train to be a Time Lady on Gallifrey. Whether this will still be the outcome or whether she will leave to set up her charity as hinted in the SJA episode Death Of The Doctor is unknown.

Latest News Update
I have been out of action for a little while and there have been lots of updates in the Whoniverse so here is all the latest.
Over on the forum, Oh Wise One reported that Marnix Van Den Broeke has been seen on set over the last few days. The actor and stuntman has previously worked on Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkhaban and The Hogfather.
Sandiwich11 posted some pictures from filming of the first two episodes which saw Cardiff transformed in to 1960's New York.
Iceman also pointed out that the flag used on set and seen in the photograh through the link is one from pre 1960 which means either we will be seeing some timey wimey happenings or there is a glaring continuity error.
The BBC have revealed that we will be getting a sneak peak at the Christmas Special when it airs its annual Children In Need telethon on November 19th. Now word yet on whether we will get the reveal of a name, but it has been pointed out by Roranicus that there will be a special screening at the BFI on December 12th so if we dont find out the name at CIN then we should certainly know the name and plot outline by then.
In Torchwood news, Chad Michael Murray famous for his role in One Tree Hill, Enver Gjokaj who starred in Dollhouse and Amber Stevens who stars in Greek have all been tipped for parts in The New World, though Chad and Enver are apparantly after the same role.

Eighth Doctor's New Outfit
Yesterday on the forum, River Song (one of our members, not the actual woman) posted some great photographs of the Eighth Doctors new outfit and Sonic Screwdriver.
It seems that the people behind his audio adventures feel that his look is getting dated and so with the blessing of the BBC, have given him an overhaul. What do you think? Impressed?
The new outfit and Screwdriver has led a few members to speculate as to whether we may see another appearance from the Eighth Doctor on screen. Some feel that all this effort for a few pictures on the audio covers is a bit much, though this is entirely speculation at this point. Would be great though, eh?

More TARDIS For Series 6?
A few days ago I told about how I had recieved word that a new set had been built for an extension to the TARDIS console room, for filming during series 6, but now it seems that although we will be getting more TARDIS interior, it had indeed been filmed in a steel works and will only appear as corridors.
This information has come from one of our forum members, Sandiwich11, who read the information on Gallifrey Base. If true, then it is likely that the scenes were/will be filmed in Port Talbot steel works, which is about 30 minutes outside of Cardiff and the only one in the area.
It seems that whether its a new room, or some new corridors, the liklihood of seeing more of the TARDIS is looking ever more positive.

Torchwood Casting Rumours
Ausiello Files is reporting three names that are in the frame for the upcoming series of Torchwood: The New World. This was brought to my attention via @Iceman525 on the Forum where you can also find a link to the original article. The interesting part though is this...
Rex Matheson is a sharp-as-nails, funny-as-hell, tough-as-rawhide CIA agent who cares less about making a good impression than he does making a lasting one. Sounds juicy, right? So no wonder my sources tell me that both Dollhouse alum Enver Gjokaj and One Tree Hill grad Chad Michael Murray are eyeing the role.
Esther Katusi is a CIA Watch Analyst — in other words, a grunt — who, against all odds, has both an unshakable faith in human nature and a monster crush on Rex. Greek goddess Amber Stevens is said to be the frontrunner for this part.
A Night At The Live Tour - Review
As some of you may know, last night I finally got to attend the Doctor Who Live Tour. I cant begin to tell you how amazing it was. I will start by saying however, that I just spent half hour writing all about how amazing it was but then my computer crashed, so this is more of an abridged version.
Seeing all those Doctor Who villains up close was superb and long time dream of mine, and luckily we had absolutely amazing seats. I have to admit when I heard that lesser knowns like the Scarecrows and Clockwork Droids were going to be there I wasnt that excited, but seeing them up close was brilliant and worked so well. The Scarecrows particularly were very creepy but were also raised a few laughs as they chased audience members around during the interval to get people back to their seats. One kid in particular screamed his lungs out when they chased him.
The orchestra were brilliant and brilliantly conducted and the atmosphere when they were all playing was electric. Listening to the music as the clips played over the screen was brilliant and they accompanied the monsters brilliantly. The acting was on top form also. Nigel Planer was superbly camp as Vogenson and the scenes with Matt Smith were really funny and written so well. It was just a shame he wasnt on stage as part of the show.
The villains themselves were brilliant. Being that close to them after seeing them all on screen for so many years gave a feeling that was indescribable. I was like a 7 year old filled with excitement. When the Judoon came up to us and assimilated us with there alien tech thing it was one of the best moments ever!!!! They are genuinly terrifying up close and being just a few feet away from them was such an amazing experience.
I didnt realise before how much of a fan of the Cybermen I was, but I spent the entire night waiting for them to come out and when they finally did I let out the biggest squee ever. They came marching past us, about 3 feet away and looked superb. The kids in the audience were terrified and I just had this feeling that is so hard to put down in words, but it was like 50 years worth of history was stood in front of me and it was amazing. Such a great exciting and nostalgic feeling seeing them right in front of us. It wasnt like we were watching actors in suits, you just fell right into the story and believed there were really Ood and Cybers and whatnot stood in front of you. It was brilliant.
The Daleks, I have to say, looked fantastic. Completely different to how they appear on screen. They were so big and imposing and they really did take your breath away. I still think they dont translate too brilliantly on screen, but up close and in person in all their different colours they looked so impressive and scary. I totally get what Moffat was thinking now. Its just a shame they dont look so great on the TV because they have the ability to scare you witless.
The insert scenes shown on the big screen were really great. When they went through the regenerations towards the end, the crowd lapped it up and cheered like mad men, but when it got to 9,10 and 11 they raised the roof. Matt had the biggest cheer of all, but Ten was a very close second and you could tell he was still fresh in the minds of so many of them. The tribute to Amy Pond was also brilliant. They chose all the very best scenes and it was so poignant and well put together. The crowd went wild for it.
I cant begin to tell you how exciting the evening was and I was so glad I went. It was brilliant from start to finish and I would go again in a heartbeat. It made me feel like a child again and the atmosphere was superb. The first review I wrote was far better than this and a while lot more detailed, but my laptop crashing zapped the energy out of me to write it all out again, but this covers most of it I think. I also have a few pictures for you all too. They arent that great though. I took about 60, but I only had my iPhone with me and they dont have zoom or flash so I had to make do and most came out blurry. It looks like im quite far away in the pictures, but we were really close to the stage and all the monsters came right past and interacted with us. Though only the Judoon targeted us personally. Ill never forget that! A brilliant experience for everyone.

The Return Of The War Chief
Remember earlier this week when it was mentioned that we will 'see something or someone not seen since The War Games'? Well it may have been revealed. Earlier today, Mark Gattis tweeted this picture of himself, with a caption reading 'The Return Of The War Chief. The War Chief was a bit of an evil Time Lord, last seen during the Second Doctor regeneration story The War Games.
On the other hand, it could just be Gatiss playing with the fans because he knows we will all jump on it, or he could just have been noting a resemblance.
So what do you think? Would you like to see his return? For that matter, would you like to see Gatiss'?

Torchwood Magazine To Discontinue Publication
It has been speculated for a few weeks, but Torchwood Magazine is officially coming to an end after issue 25 hits the shelves.
The bi-monthly companion to the show started selling in 2008 but it seems that sales and demand were not high enough and the next issue in December will be the last. The speculation was confirmed when one of our readers, @hannahcole93 received a letter about her subscription telling her that the next issue will be the last.
Content is said to have slipped with only five episodes airing since early 2008, but with the new series due to air next year it was expected that the magazine would continue to grow. It is as yet unknown whether DWM will cover the next series.
Torchwood Character Updates
This months Doctor Who Magazine has some further details about the characters in the upcoming series of Torchwood.
According to the magazine, Esther is going to be a devout Christian who is very much an optimist and with a strong faith in mankind. As speculated previously, she will also fall head over heels in love with Rex, another new character.
Of paedophile Oswold Jones, it says he is dangerous and clever and will seem to regret his evil past. It is also stated that he is fated to become the centre of terrifying events.
Another member, mentioned previously but seemingly forgotten by most, is Dr. Vera Juaraz, who will also be introduced as a recurring character and appear throughout, though little is known about her at present.

It’s a real honour to be asked to switch on Cardiff’s Christmas Lights because the city has become like a second home to not only me, but the rest of the Doctor Who production team. The clips feature River and Canton, though it is hard to tell exactly what is going on. Still a brilliant effor to the person who got it all captured though.

Funniest Who Rumour Of The Week
The Daily Star are getting more comedic by the week and today they are on fine form reporting that unless the BBC make a movie of Doctor Who, then Matt Smith has no plans to stick around.
Im kinda paraphrasing, but that is the gist of it. Their quote from him is as follows:
If you fancy a laugh this evening, Read this
I’d definitely be up for staying on if they did a film – hell yeah. I would be thrilled if there could be a movie version – I want them to do it. There is something brilliantly televisual about Doctor Who but I think it could definitely work as a film. The article then goes on about how the BBC are worried about coming up with the cash in order to keep him. Because obviously when you decide to put this sort of ultimatum to the BBC, you do it through the Star. Add to that that if you read his quote, it actually says no such thing, and its quite a funny old read. They even manage to bring life back to the 'Doctor Who cures malaria in Africa' movie rumours.

Another Series 6 Casting
Doctor Who Spoilers is reporting that Mark Sheppard, probably best known to scifi fans as Romo Lampkin, the lawyer to Baltar in Battlestar Gallactica, has been cast in the opening two parter of series 6 as a character called Canton.
Little else is known about the role or character as yet, but it seems that more and more info about the US filming is trickling through as we get closer to the supposed November filming.

The Regeneration Poll
Ok, so yesterday some information was doing the rounds in regards to the regeneration limit which is soon to be addressed in The Sarah Jane Adventures. Though it seems now that that information may be incorrect, the poll was already well underway, so in case it all turns out to be true, here is how the masses voted.
25% of the people who voted said that the regeneration limit should go up, but be capped so that there is at least an end point.
Another 25% of voters said that the regeneration limit should not be touched and should remain at regens with 13 incarnations.
50% of the voters however, said an unlimited amount was a good thing and there shouldnt be a limit to how many times the Doctor can regenerate.
So there we have it. The results are in. Do you agree with the results?

New Regeneration Info
Despite yesterdays reports that the Doctor announces in the new series of The Sarah Jane Adventures that he has an unlimited amount of regenerations, a supposed extract from the script has come to light which, as some other sources claimed, puts a limit on it of 507. The extract is as follows...
Clyde: So, can you like, change colour?
The Doctor: Yes, of course.
Clyde: And how many times can you do it?
The Doctor: 507.
Whether this is made up is unknown, and I think more and more theories will come out until the actual episode airs, but it is another possibility to throw in to the mix

Regeneration Limit Leaked
That's right guys. After years of speculation about what will happen once the 13th incarnation of the Doctor meets his end, we were told that it would finally be addressed in an upcoming episode of The Sarah Jane Adventures.
So does he get an extra five? Was the limit removed? How is it going to be covered I hear you scream. Well its pretty simple really. And it is either going to infuriate people, or make them extremely happy but this is apparantly how it will go.
During the SJA episode, Clyde is going to turn and ask the Doctor how many times he can regenerate. He replies that there is no limit, and then they move on without a second mention.
So there you have it. Happy? Annoyed? Let us know below.

The Doctor Who Experience
As I told all a few weeks ago, three of the Doctor Who exhibitions around the UK are due to close to make way for a bigger and better exhibition in Cardiff.
But it seems that something big is being planned for London in 2011.
Throughout the weekend performances of the Doctor Who Live Tour, flyers were handed out people in attendance promoting the Doctor Who Experience and now a new website has been launched to accompany it.
No more details have been released as yet, but as soon as we know more we will update you.

BBC America Press Release For American Filming - River Confirmed
Here is the BBC America press release for the upcoming shoot in america. It confirms the return of River, as well as november filming. Settings will include Utah and The Oval Office. Moffat and Wenger also talk a little
DOCTOR WHO TO FILM IN THE U.S. FOR THE FIRST TIME
Upcoming season’s first two episodes to be set in the U.S.
The BBC announced today that season six of Doctor Who, which delivered record ratings for BBC AMERICA earlier this year, will open with a spectacular two-parter set in the U.S. and penned by ‘Who supremo’ Steven Moffat.
In the special two-parter co-produced with BBC AMERICA, key scenes will be filmed in Utah for a story set in the late ‘60s in which the Doctor, Amy and Rory find themselves on a secret summons that takes them on an adventure from the desert in Utah - right to the Oval Office itself.
Production on episodes one and two of the new season starts in Cardiff this month and Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill will then travel to America in mid November to shoot pivotal scenes. They will also be joined by Alex Kingston who reprises her role as River Song.
Showrunner and lead writer, Steven Moffat, said: “The Doctor has visited every weird and wonderful planet you can imagine, so he was bound get round to America eventually! And of course every Doctor Who fan will be jumping up and down and saying he’s been in America before. But not for real, not on location - and not with a story like this one! Oh, you wait!”
Piers Wenger, Head of Drama BBC Wales and Executive Producer, added: "Steven's scripts generally inspire us to go that extra mile - this time we're going that extra four thousand. Thanks to our friends at BBC AMERICA and to the continuing ambition of our lead writer and production team, the first two episodes of Matt Smith's second season as the Doctor are going global and look set to become Doctor Who's most action-packed and ambitious season opener yet".
The new season follows on from the Doctor Who Christmas special guest starring Katherine Jenkins and Michael Gambon which is due to premiere during the holiday season. Season six will start airing on BBC AMERICA in spring 2011 and has been split into two blocks, with the second block airing in autumn 2011. By splitting the series Moffat plans to give viewers one of the most exciting Doctor Who cliffhangers and plot twists ever, leaving them waiting, on the edge of their seats, until the autumn to find out what happens.
2010 has been a breakthrough year for the Doctor Who franchise across all platforms since BBC AMERICA became the official home of the series. The series reached the number one spot on the “Top TV Seasons” chart on iTunes and now Doctor Who: The Complete Fifth Season hits stores on Blu-ray and DVD on November 9.
Doctor Who was co-commissioned by Ben Stephenson, Controller, BBC Drama Commissioning for BBC One and Jay Hunt, Controller of BBC One and will be produced by Marcus Wilson (Life on Mars) and Sanne Wohlenberg (Margaret). Steven Moffat is Lead Writer and Executive Producer (Sherlock Holmes) with Piers Wenger, Head of Drama, BBC Wales and Beth Willis (Ashes to Ashes), also Executive Producing
Moffat Confirms American Filming?
Earlier this week it was rumoured that filming of series 6 will take place in America for a story, rumoured to be an adaptation of the Terrance Dicks novel Blood Harvest. Now though it seems that Moffat has confirmed these rumours in a recent interview. In2town has reported him saying this:
Sounds very exciting, if true.
EDIT: This has been confirmed by BBCAmerica who have stated that the first two episodes will be set in the US. Other reports have come in stating that they will feature the return of River Song and filming will commence in November

Doctor Who Comic Coming To The US
If you are a fan of Doctor Who and you live in the United States, I have some news that may excite you. IDW have decided to launch a series of Doctor Who comics featuring the travels of the Eleventh Doctor, Rory and Amy.
The comics will launch in January 2011 and issue 1, which will be written by Tony Lee, will see the Doctor and his companions, Amy Pond and Rory Williams off on their time travelling adventures. The art in the first comic comes courtesy of Andrew Curry, with cover art designed by Tommy Lee Edwards.
IDW's Doctor Who editor Denton J. Tipton had this to say:
Storylines for the new book include holographic spam fighting, Mad Max-esque mercenaries, Victorian Jack The Ripper suspense, penalty shoot-outs against Vikings and Cybernetic Space Pirate Dinosaurs. There's going to be something for everyone. For example, fans of the classic series should be on the look out for a classic Doctor Who villain! I could tell you who they are, but I'd have to kill you," adds Lee. "Let's just say we've been given special dispensation to use them, and we have a killer story – in all senses of the word! The comics are priced at $3.99 but as of yet there are no plans for a UK release.
